COVID-19 HOTEL OPERATIONAL POLICY

OUR COMMITMENT TO SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS

These protocols were already in place on the onset of the outbreak in early January 2020 and will be continuously practised adhering to the new standards and SOPs issued by the Ministry of Health.

FACE MASK

Guests are reminded to always wear a face mask when in our premises. Wearing a face mask is a MUST when you are outside your room, main lobby area, restaurant, common areas and when you visit our facilities.

1 METER SOCIAL DISTANCING

The hotel adopts the practice of social distancing of 1 meter. Please help us by respecting the practice of social distancing of 1 meter from each other. In some areas, 1 meter distance floor markers are marked for your guidance.

 

MYSEJAHTERA APP

According to the call of the Malaysian government, guests are REQUIRED to scan the QR code of the MySejahtera application when entering the main lobby and visiting our facilities.

 

HAND SANITIZER

Hand sanitizer is available in the main lobby as well as in our facilities for guest use.

BAGGAGE HANDLING

To minimize direct contact with guests' luggage, guests are advised to bring their own luggage accompanied by our hotel staff. For guests who require assistance with more than 4 pieces of luggage, guests can request assistance from our hotel staff to lift the guest’s luggage after being sanitized.

ROOM CLEANING AND CHANGE OF BATH TOWELS

  • ADMISSION OF HOTEL EMPLOYEES TO THE GUEST ROOM IS LIMITED. Hotel employees are not allowed to enter the guest room after the room has been sanitized. Therefore, housekeeping and maintenance workers are only allowed to enter the guest room at the request of the guest only.

  • Room cleaning times and change of guest bath towels are based on guest request only from 2pm to 5pm daily.

  • Beach towel are provided inside the room according to room capacity.

  • Prayer Mat services for Muslim guests have been temporarily suspended. Guests are encouraged to use the prayer mat they brought with them.

 

LAUNDRY SERVICES

Laundry service is on a guest request only from 2pm to 5pm daily.

 

MAIN LOBBY

  • Seating is arranged at a distance of 1 meter with floor markers.

  • To control congestion and the practice of 1 -meter social distancing, the main lobby is closed to guests to rest from 8am to 6pm. daily.

 

KAYU MANIS RESTAURANT

  • Guest admission to Kayu Manis restaurant is limited.

  • Kayu Manis Restaurant adopts a one -way entry and exit system. Floor markers are provided for guest guidance.

  • Dining tables and seating are arranged at a distance of 1 meter with markers.

  • Guests will be assigned seating based on table capacity and number of guests according to the same household.

  • Guests MUST wear face masks and disposable gloves provided when taking food at the buffet station.

  • Children under the age of 7 are not allowed to take food without adult supervision.

  • Meals prepared at the buffet station are always closed to ensure food hygiene. Guests are reminded to always close again after use.

 

LAWANG CONVENIENCE STORE 

Admission of guests to the Lawang convenience store is limited to maintain the practice of social distancing of 1 meter.

 

SNORKELING ACTIVITIES

Snorkel masks are sanitized after each use. However, for guests who choose not to share a snorkel mask, guests can purchase a snorkel mask at the Lawang convenience store.

GUEST SERVICES

FRONT DESK

 

Our Front Desk Counter are operating from 7.00am to 11.00pm. Check-ins begin at 3.00pm and Check-out time is at 09.00am (for boat depart at 10.00am) and 11.00am (for boat/ferry depart at 12.00noon & 12.30noon). To request a late check-out please contact Front Desk for assistance. Requests will be granted subject to availability and may incur some additional cost. Additional Surcharge for Late Check-out is RM50 Per Hour for Country Villa category, RM60 for Lagoon Villa category and RM80 for Seafront Villa category will be imposed after 11:00am up to 03:00pm.

HOUSEKEEPING

The turndown service will be provided on daily basis from morning until evening. If do not disturb sign present, an information card must be left on the door. Laundry pressing and dry cleaning are available through housekeeping Monday to Sunday. Please contact Housekeeping Department for assistance.

KAYU MANIS RESTAURANT

Restaurant will be open daily from 07.00am to 10.00am for Breakfast, 12.00noon to 03.00pm for Lunch and from 06.30pm - 09.30pm for Dinner. In-Room Dining Service will be served from 10.00am to 09.30pm. The service is suspended during rainy day, Jul-Sep, and hotel high occupancy. Please contact Kayu Manis Restaurant or visit the outlet for assistance.

CENGKIH POOL BAR

The pool bar will be open daily from 11.00am to 11.30pm. Selection of Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic will be served throughout the day. Please contact Cengkih Pool Bar for assistance.

 

RECREATION AND DIVE CENTRE

The Sari Pacifica Recreation and Dive Centre will be open daily from 08.00am to 08.00pm. It is recommended that you register any activities at least 1 day in advance. Guests may also get a wide selection of indoor games for rent during your stay. Please contact Sari Pacifica Recreation and Dive Centre or visit the counter at lobby area for assistance.

SARI DEWI SPA

The spa will be open daily from 09.00am to 09.00pm. Get a variety of treatments from body massages, facials, reflexology and more. Please contact Sari Dewi Spa or visit the counter at lobby area for assistance.

LAWANG SNACK BAR AND CONVENIENCE STORE

The convenience store will be open daily from 10.00am to 10.00pm. Get a variety of snacks, beverages and personal care products during your stay.

BEACHFRONT SWIMMING POOL

The swimming pool will be open daily from 09.00am to 09.00pm. Please note there is no lifeguard on duty at swimming pool area. Guests are reminded to always be vigilant when using our swimming pool.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT TIME

Check-in time is after 3.00PM. Early check-in is at the discretion of the hotel and is based on the availability of your room.

Check-out time is at;

  • 09.00AM (For boat depart at 10.00am)

  • 11.00AM (For boat/ferry depart at 12.00noon & 12.30noon).

 

For guests departing by ferry at 07.00am, guests can complete the Check-out process 10 hours prior to departure. Breakfast packs will be available on the day of departure.

KEY/ELECTRIC CARD

Should you lose your key/electric card, please immediately notify the Front Desk. For your own protection, you will be asked for identification. Please return your key card to the Front Desk upon check-out.

ELECTRICITY

Please note, that our hotel uses a generator as our electrical power. Therefore, you will experience an electrical power outage shut down daily at 7am and 7pm for about 5 minutes for generator socket replacement work. Guests are reminded not to use electrical sockets during the electrical power recovery process to avoid unwanted situations. 
 

PET POLICY

For the convenience of other guests and in an effort to help us provide the cleanest and most sanitary accommodations possible, pets are not permitted.

ALCOHOL POLICY

An Outside Alcohol is prohibited inside the room and resort. A Corkage Fee will be imposed as per below:

  • Beer: RM10 per can

  • Wine: RM50 per bottle

  • Liquor: RM50 per bottle

DISABILITY FACILITIES

Disability facilities and accessibility is not available at Sari Pacifica Resort & Spa Redang Island.

There have no ATM service in Redang Island. If you required a cash withdrawal, you may proceed to Laguna Island Resort with 7% of service charge.

CHEQUE CASHING

Cheque Cashing service is not available at Sari Pacifica Resort & Spa Redang Island.

CURRENCY EXCHANGE

Currency Exchange service is not available at Sari Pacifica Resort & Spa Redang Island.

Wi-Fi SERVICES

COMPLIMENTARY Wi-Fi is available throughout the lobby area. Should you require the password, please contact the Front Office for assistance.

 

To connect and Android phone to a wireless network:

  1. Press the Home button, and then press the Apps button. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Under “Wireless and Networks”, make sure “Wi-Fi” is turned on, then press Wi-Fi.

  3. You may have to wait a moment as your Android device detects wireless networks in range and displays them in a list. To rescan for available networks at anu time, select Scan.

  4. Press the Wi-Fi network name that you want to connect to. If the network is not secured, the connection should complete successfully and you can skip the remainder of these instructions. If a padlock symbol is displayed to the right of network name, it is secured and requires a password (also known as a Passphrase or Key) to complete the connection.

  5. If prompted, enter the correct Wi-Fi network password, and press Connect. This will complete your connection to the wireless network.

  6. If the Android device reports that it has successfully connected to the wireless network, but you still cannot access the internet, you will have to discuss this problem with the network administrator.

 

Note: You can also choose “Add a Wi-Fi network” to manually configure your network. This is usually done if the wireless network or SSID is hidden. 

 

To connect an iOS phone to a wireless network:

  1. From your Home screen, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.

  2. Turn on Wi-Fi. Your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks.

  3. Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network that you want to join.


With iOS 13 and iPadOS, you might see these network options:

  • My Networks: Wi-Fi networks that you have connected with before.

  • Public Networks: Available Wi-Fi networks that you have never connected with before.

 

After you join a network, you will see   next to the network and   in the upper-left corner of your display or the upper-right corner on an iPhone X and

NON-SMOKING POLICY

Smoking inside the room including bathroom is prohibited. If smoking occurs during your stay a RM500 Cleaning Fee will be billed to your account. Guests may proceed to smoking zone located outside the room.

 

Smoking includes tobacco cigarettes, electronic cigarettes (vape), cigars, pipe tobaccos, cigarette leaves (rokok daun), bamboo pipes and waterpipe smokes (bong, hookah/shisha and mouassal).

LOST OF PERSONAL VALUABLE ITEM & PROPERTY DAMAGE

  • The resort will not hold the responsibility for any lost or damage of personal belonging in the premise.

  • A safety box is available in the guest room to store your valuables. We strongly recommend that you utilize this facility to ensure the saftey of your valuables (i.e. travel document, cash money, credit card, jewelry etc).

  • Guests are liable for any damage howsoever caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the room, resort's premises or property caused by the guest or any person in its party that are accommodating or not staying at the resort.

  • Missing and/or damaged item, guests will be charged accordingly (the amount it costs with other expenses related to it) to replace the missing and/or damaged item.

  • The missing and/or damaged include (but not limited to) all in-room facilities, furniture and fixtures and electrical and electronic appliances in the room, resort's premises and property.

  • A RM200.00 room cleaning fee will be charged if found filthy and requires major cleaning.

LOST AND FOUND

The hotel has a lost & found section which is part of our Housekeeping Department. In line with local regulations, non-valuable lost and found items will be stored for a period of three months and after which, the items will be discarded. 

RIGHT TO REFUSE ACCOMMODATION

Sari Pacifica Resort & Spa Redang Island reserves its absolute rights to refuse accommodation to any person(s) without any notice and may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation under the following circumstances (but not limited to) where:-

  • Such action is deemed necessary for reasons of safety or security; concern any unlawful activities, disturbance or which cause public nuisance which will affect the comfort of the other guests of the hotel.

  • Your conduct, status, age or physical condition or the physical condition of your luggage is deemed such as to, (i) may cause harm, discomfort or (ii) involve any hazard or risk to yourself or other persons or to our property.

  • You have committed misconduct on a previous stay and such conduct may be repeated.

  • The applicable rate or any charges or taxes payable have not been paid, the payment of your room rate is fraudulent (i.e. using a fraudulent credit card), the credit card by which you paid for the rate has been reported lost or stolen; the booking is counterfeit or fraudulently obtained.

  • The booking of our Hotel Room(s) has been done fraudulently or unlawfully or has been purchased from a party not authorized by us.

  • The booking has been altered by anyone other than us or our authorized agent or has been tampered with or defaced (in which case we reserve the rights to retain such booking documentation); and/or

  • You do not register as the person stated on the booking or the person checking in cannot prove that he is the person named as per the booking (we reserve the rights to retain such booking documentation in such circumstances).

SECURITY

Your safety and security are of the utmost concern to those of us who welcome you as our guest. There are security guards on duty at night. If a security need arises, please contact the Security or Front Desk for immediate attention.

EMERGENCY AND FIRE

Should you discover a fire please contact reception immediately. Please do not attempt to put the fire out yourself, move away from the dangerous area. Please gather at beach area located in front of our Seafront Villa and sundeck area.

SURVIVE

If you return, or stay in your room, fill the bath tub with water, wet sheets, and pack them completely around the door. Block area from which smoke is coming out, call the hotel reception by dialing 0, give him/her your room number and explain that you are staying in your room, Stay low if there is smoke in your room. If door and walls are hot pour water on them using waste basket.

EVACUATION PROCEDURE

 In the event of an emergency, DO NOT PANIC. Advise the Reception immediately by dialing 0. Please gather at beach area located in front of our Seafront Villa and sundeck area.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

Airport transfer to Sultan Mahmud Airport, Kuala Terengganu are available. Please call our Front Desk for information.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

This complimentary service is provided for guests who made their sea transfer arrangement with Sari Pacifica only. For guests who made their own sea transfer arrangement, guests will be charged RM10.00 per person to use this services. Our passenger wagon only available according to our sea transfer timetable.

For any shuttle services outside of our scheduled hours, you will be charged RM5.00 (06.00am - 06.00pm) and RM10.00 (06.00pm - 12.00am) per person per way.

ROOM SERVICE

Nourishing and delicious meals and snacks are available from 10.00am. to 09.30pm. a day. Service is suspended during rainy day, Jul-Sep and hotel high occupancy

ACTIVITIES

To book the tour, please contact our recreation and dive center or proceed to the counter at lobby area.

  • All activities can be booked during the stay 1 day in advance

  • All activities are dependent on weather and sea conditions

  • All snorkeling sites are subjected to changes in weather changes and will be decided by the Recreation Centre

  • Guests taking part in any activities organized by the Resort shall do so at their own risk. The resort shall not held any responsibilities for any losses or injury sustained by anyone. Guests are advised to insure themselves against injury and loss of personal belongings

  • There will be NO refund or reduction of rates on any services provided in the package which is not utilized

  • Sari Pacifica Resort & Spa Redang Island is not responsible to bear any additional cost occurred due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather

  • Sari Pacifica Resort & Spa Redang Island reserves the right to review rates, change policy, package offered and package program at any time without prior notice
